December 20th Fishing Report

Anglers are finding a decent walleye bite during early mornings and evenings, particularly around primary structures. Focus on breaklines in the 12-16 ft range and humps adjacent to deeper water. Perch fishing continues to be strong, and tip-up fishing for pike has been great.

Please be sure to check ice conditions as they can vary, especially as you move beyond Tamarack Bay. For the latest updates on ice thickness and conditions, it's always a good idea to check with one of our local resorts before heading out. You can also give Lake Winnie fishing guide Jeff Johnson a call. Reach him at 218-259-8893.

Stay tuned for more details next week about fishing on the main lake and the latest walleye information on Lake Winnie.
